The cathedral is one of the most important church styles of all, because it’s very well decorated and very old, they are also very famous for their music. Way back before they were called cathedrals, they were called “houses of meeting”. Cathedrals usually have high spirals and lots of spikes they also have a lot of towers that stick out from others. The architecture and design is one of the most important parts of all the churches and cathedrals. there are also different types of design to them, cathedrals are spiky and has more than one tower, basilicas are more open and huge inside with really expensive paintings and murals they also are divided into three parts and have a tall dome in the middle, Orthodox churches are more of a dome symmetrical type, early churches were all rectangular and circular, there is also a type called “cruciform” That means cross shaped. The interior is also very important, the altar is one of the most needed pieces of all for a church because it’s in front of the pulpit which is the railing/step that the priest stands on to preach. The organs are also one of the essentials form it to become a church because its meant to play music and make the people sing, usually the leaders of the church sat around an edge of a semi-circle. The seats that the people sit on are removable so that if there is a special ceremony, they can have more room. Churches are decorated with expensive details like gold murals, statues and also very majestic paintings. Places of worship are the most important things to have in a religion, because it helps them to reach out to their certain god/gods to pray, wish or thank them. Jesus is the son of god, born in Bethlehem his mother was Virgin Mary. She gave birth to him in a stable. Because Jesus was the son of god he was born to spread god’s word. It all started in Bethlehem where Jesus taught people the “right path”, and before he started his teaching, he had to gain reputation and popularity. He did this by feeding thousands of people with 7 loafs of bread, healed people and helping social outcasts. He also had many followers, the main followers were called disciples there were 12 of them. They also helped in spreading his word, the disciples made name for the group called Christianity. Jesus helped people by teaching them, forgiving their sins and much more good deeds. After, Pontius Pilate got scared of Jesus popularity. He wanted him to be crucified (tied to a cross until death), then Judas, one of the disciples rated Jesus out. Pontius Pilate charged Jesus with “threatening god’s name with disrespect” he was also sentenced to be crucified. He died later on that week in 30-AD, he was buried in a tomb never to be opened ever again, but one day he rose from the dead, and visited the disciples and told them to preach his words. After he visited them, Pontius Pilate sentenced all christens to death and beheaded all of the Christians that worshiped Jesus. After all the things that happened, the Christians spread all of his words and teaching all over turkey, Greece and Rome. Peter (one of the first disciples) also spread his words all over. Today, Christianity is all over the world and people everywhere believe in it, it’s the religions with the most followers in the entire world. DID YOU KNOW? JESUS ROSE from A TOMB COVERD BY A BOLDER.
