(High School Name) Leads the Way in Community Service
Compassion and community are captivating the hearts of students nationwide, and Colorado is no
exception. (High School Name) FCCLA in (City, State) has logged onto the statewide FCCLA
community service efforts to collect canned goods for local food banks throughout the state. Colorado
FCCLA is powered up about leadership, (High School Name) students are leading the way in their
communities.
(High School Name) is tapping into the needs of our community with their project, (Project title). (Short
2-3 sentences describing your project. Include dates, events, persons involved, and what you
accomplished. ) Our goal of collecting (#) cans will go towards Colorado FCCLA’s goal of at least 200
cans to be given to local food banks. As a chapter, we are happy to donate our goods to (food bank) and
to work with Colorado FCCLA to upload our community service. (High School Name) FCCLA is proud
to be a part of the 2010-2011 State Service Project for Colorado FCCLA. (“Insert a quote from a chapter

The 2010-2011 network of Colorado FCCLA’s state service project also reaches nationwide with our
support of the Children’s Miracle Network. (High School Name) looks forward to raising money for the
Children’s Hospitals in Colorado and across the nation. (1-2 sentences of what your chapter is doing for
CMN. Include events, dates, etc.) National FCCLA is working to raise funds for the Children’s Miracle
network and Colorado FCCLA will link up with this goal using change drives and fundraisers for our
local Children’s Hospitals.
Colorado FCCLA is one of 52 state chapters of National Family, Career, and Community Leaders of
America. FCCLA is a Career and Technical Student Organization focusing on family, career preparation,
and leadership development. Colorado FCCLA started in January 1946 and has grown to over 100
chapters with over 2100 members. Participation with FCCLA, including competitive events, chapter
activities, and leadership opportunities, can lead to a brighter future for all members. National FCCLA
began in 1945 and is over 210,000 members strong making FCCLA one of the largest student
organizations in the world. FCCLA is the Ultimate Leadership Experience.
