Group Activity:
Each group will present their research and information through a power-point
presentation.
Activity 1- Research the internet and answer the 2002 AP world History Exam.
Question is on Islamic and Christian attitudes toward merchants in the post
classical period. Access on AP Central website. Type a five paragraph essay and
create a visual to illustrate the information within your essay. ( 1-2 pages, singlespace 14 font, Times New Roman)
Activity 2- Research and find photographs and schematics of Gothic cathedrals.
Create a power-point presentation to discuss medieval technological skills as well
religious, economic and political purposes of these massive buildings. Type an
essay, based on your research and conclusions that explain the significance of these
buildings to the people who used them and lived near them. (1-2 pages, singlespace 14 font, Times New Roman)
Activity 3- Research and find illuminated manuscripts drawings that feature
women, and try to draw conclusions about the role of women from these visual
sources. Be sure to look for elite as well as common women. In your essay explain
