10th Grade ICAP
If there is not a continue button or students need to return to the Guideways they should:
1. Click on the Career Planning Tab at the Top.
2. Click on begin Guideways underneath the blue arron on the right hand side.
3. Click continue 10th grade ICAP where you left off.
1. Go to www. Collegeincolorado.org
2. Sign In
 Account name: BD + student ID (Example: BD4000015896)
 Password: First Name Initial + Last Name Initial + Birthdate in
mmddyy format (Example: rw061295)
3. Click Sign In
4. Enter additional Information, as required. Check the box if you agree to the
privacy policy and terms of the use of the site, then click NEXT.
5. Click on Click Here to Continue – start using College In Colorado!
Once you are in College In Colorado, do the following:
 Select the first white tab at the top titled Career Planning
 On the right side of the page, go to the Guideways blue box and select
Begin Guideways
 Find box labeled “10th Grade ICAP” and click Start this Guideway
 Follow the instructions to begin!

NOTE: Anytime you do not receive a CONTINUE button in the blue Guideways box see the
directions on the side of the page!
 Step 1: Explore Programs and Majors
1. Select Continue, you are located at the activity entitled “Step 1: Explore
Programs and Majors.”
2. Use the Career Clusters to explore college programs and majors. Look at Career
Clusters that may have been suggested to you or others that look interesting to
you.
3. Investigate careers of interest by clicking on the career cluster name.
4. If you find programs listed under this career cluster that interest you choose the
Add to Portfolio link on the left side of the page BEFORE you select a program.
5. Then choose THREE programs from the career cluster to explore.
6. If you decide you are interested in a program click on save to portfolio on the
left hand side of the page. Then choose the Explore other Programs and
Majors at the top in the blue box to return to the programs and choose two more
to save.
7. Continue step six until you have three programs saved in your portfolio.
8. Once you have saved three programs under one career cluster select continue
located in the light blue box at the top of the page.
 Step 2: Planning for My Goals
1. Select Continue, you are located at the activity entitled, “Step 2: Planning for My
Goals.”
2. Select, How Does High School Support Your Career Goals? and answer all
five questions, then select Save.
3. Select Continue located in the light blue box at the top of the page.
 Step 3: Compare Schools
1. Select Continue until you are located at the activity entitled, “Step 3: Compare
Schools.”
2. Review this list of schools in Colorado. Note the similarities and differences in
these key characteristics. Click a school name to view all the details on the full
school profile.
3. When finished, select Continue located within the light blue box at the top of the
page.

 Step 4: Extracurricular Activities
1. Select Continue until you are located at the activity entitled, “Step 4:
Extracurricular Activities.”
2. The goal for this step is to enter or edit your extracurricular activities. Describe at
least one activity before continuing
3. When finished, select Save and then Continue located within the light blue box
at the top of the page.
 Step 5: Community Service and Service Learning
1. Select Continue until you are located at the activity entitles, “Step 5: Community
Service and Service Learning.”
2. The goal for this step is to enter or edit your community service activities.
Describe at least one activity before continuing.
3. When finished, select Save and then Continue located within the light blue box
at the top of the page.
 Step 6: Update Postsecondary and Workforce Goal
1. Select Continue until you are located at the activity entitled, “Step 6: Update
Postsecondary and Workforce Goal.”
2. Select Enter Your Goal or Add An Annual Milestone to Your Goal.
Describe your career goal and the postsecondary education you want to pursue to
help you achieve your career goals. Be as general or as specific as you can be.
3. When finished, select Save and then Continue located within the light blue box
at the top of the page.
 Step 7: Your Plan of Study
1. Select Continue until you are located at the activity entitled, “Step 7: Your Plan
of Study.”
2. Review your 9th and 10th grade courses
3. Plan your 11th grade courses based on your selected program of study
4. When finished, select Continue located within the light blue box at the top of the
page.
 Step 8: Parent Review
1. Select Continue until you are located at the activity entitled, “Step 8: Parent
Review.”
2. On the bottom of the page, select Invite a Parent or Guardian to Connect to
Your Portfolio
3. Select Invite a Parent or Guardian to Connect to Your Portfolio and complete
appropriate information
 Step 9: Annual Reflection
1. Select Continue until you have located at the activity entitled, “Step 9: Annual
Reflection.”
2. Reflect on what you have learned about yourself during this year. Record your
annual reflections for this year.
3. Select, Add An Annual Reflection
4. When finished, select Save at the bottom.
