Call to Order
Rhonda called the CC Fug meeting to order at 9 a.m. on March 22, 2012.
Open issues
1. Name change practices - Rhonda Kitch
BSC and Minot State reported that they required Legal documentation
and updated SS Card. BSC also requires students to complete the NDUS
Name change form even if PERS name change info was supplied to HR.
2. Phone field data in PS inconsistent - Rohit Kulkami
a. Some phone numbers have dashes, slash “/” or a period between
numbers.
b. How should it be? How to make all consistent?
Mary B. reported that it is a text field and students can entered
anything they want in the field. The topic will be tabled until next
month.
3. Student Self-Service – Mask National ID – Mary
The Initial request asked for the last 4 digits of the National ID to be
masked in Student Self-Service. The SR User group requested the whole
number masked. CC User group decided to move forward with masking
the whole SSN number on student self-service, knowing that if it does
not work, it can be pulled back to just masking the last 4 digits.
New issues
1. Change to the “Notification” process via class roster – Rohit Kulkami
Currently the notification process sends an email to students Preferred
email address. The request is to send to Campus email then Preferred.
This change will be a modification to the system, but not a large mod.
Because this is a new request, it must go out to each module. Feedback
should be reported to the CC group as collected.
Campus Community Status Report –Mary
The status report contains requests mostly for SLDS, Residency and
Collaborative.
Individual requests will be pushed to the bottom.
ACT data files were purchased to updated external org files in
CampusConnection. Foreign school data provided was very inconsistent and
messy. They will have to figure out a different way to proceed with foreign
schools.
Data Cleanup for SLDS –
The last school attended data did not populated in CampusConnection from
Hobsons. SITS is waiting for a decision from NDUS on how to proceed.
Other Items:
Collaborative Contacts group will be meeting on April 12, 2012.
SITS is working on a MOD to the collaborative page to allow for additional
functionality, including the Career field.
New Director of Campus Solutions is Diane Peterson.
