FUNERAL HELD: Margie Dorothy Jarvis
DATELINE: Isle La Motte, Vermont
The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, September, 10, 2012, at 11
a.m. from the Chapel at Saint Anne's Shrine. Father Francis R. Prive, pastor of The
Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish in Morrisville and a family friend was the celebrant
and homilist. Father Prive was assisted by The Reverend Alden Launer, Chaplain of
Copley Hospital in Morrisville as well as Chaplain to the Lamoille County Hospice
Program. Mrs. Louisette Deblois served as Minister of the Altar. Music was under
the direction of Jerome Monachino with Maurice Gauthier as soloist.
The Processional Cross was carried by granddaughter, Amy Pollin. The White
Funeral Pall was draped over Margie's casket by her children, Juanita Artman, Edie
Pollin, Greg Jarvis, Jean Jesberger and Debra Jarvis. The first reading from The Book
of Wisdom was proclaimed by The Reverend Mr. Launer and the second reading
from Saint Paul to the Corinthians by granddaughter, Altar Steiner. The Responsorial
Psalm was taken from Psalm Twenty-Three and read from Margie's own Bible by
niece, Barbara Maxfield. The Reverend Mr. Launer also read The Prayers of the
Faithful. The Offertory Gifts Procession included presentations of the water and
wine by granddaughter, Amy Pollin, the chalice by granddaughter, Bianca Fournier
and the hosts by granddaughter, Alta Stein. Special Reflections on the Life of Margie
were shared by daughters, Edie Pollin and Jean Jesberger.
The Rite of Committal and Interment followed at the Jarvis family lot in Saint
Amadeus Roman Catholic Cemetery, Alburgh with Father Prive assisted by The
Reverend Mr. Launer reading the committal prayers.
The bearers all grandsons were, Andy Pollin, Jon Artman, Dylan Jarvis and Sam
Jesberger.
Following The Prayers of Committal a reception was held for family and friends at
the Alburgh American Legion hosted by the members and auxiliary.
