Snare Drum: Also must demonstrate skills of rolls and rudiments. Mallet Percussion: Must also demonstrate facile performance of the three-octave B major scale and arpeggio. Please, communicate to your students that they must attend all rehearsal sessions. Students who are absent for any reason other than the SAT or ACT exams will be removed from the ensemble. Students who are taking the SAT (12/3/11) or ACT (12/10/11) should mark this on their application during registration and should report to the rehearsal immediately after the SAT/ACT exam is completed.
