Christmas Events
Just a gentle reminder that if you wish to gain
access to the school between the hours of 9:00
am and 2:55pm you must use the entrance on
Abbotts Road.
There are a number of events happening this
December. Please make sure that you check your
child’s book bag for letters regarding these events.
This includes if you are coming to watch your
child’s assembly, picking your child up for an
appointment or if you are dropping your child off
late.
On Wednesday 17th December we will be having
Christmas jumper day to coincide with our
Parking
outsidelunch.

Christmas
child is welcome
to wear a
Christmas jumper to school on this day, however
they must still wear school shoes and school
trousers or a school skirt. Please note that it is not
compulsory for your child to wear a Christmas
jumper.
School Dinner Debt
Please make sure that you pay for your child’s
school dinners in advance. If you think that you
may owe money please go to the school office to
make a payment.
Your child’s Christmas Lunch will need to be ordered
in advance at a cost of £2.00. Children who are
entitled to Free School Meals do not need to pay but
do need to order their child a school dinner. Please
check your child’s book bag next week for an order
form.
It is important that you pay for your child’s school
dinners as anyone who is found to be in debt may
be requested to provide a packed lunch for their
child until the debt is cleared.
Pupil Premium Forms
There are a number of children across the Academy who have not returned their pupil premium forms. It is vital that
the school receives a pupil premium form for every child as it can mean extra funding for the school if you are found
to be eligible for pupil premium.
This funding goes towards extra-curricular activities. We are currently running 3 after school clubs for Key Stage 2
that are free of charge, however, we will have to cancel these activities if we do not receive enough funding through
pupil premium. We would love to extend these services to Reception and Key Stage 1 but again we need to receive
enough additional funding to be able to support this programme.
Year One went on a Bear Hunt
This week Year One went on a Bear Hunt on Mitcham
Common! Although they did not spot any bears
(thankfully) they did find a number of different trees,
leaves and insects which enhanced Year One’s learning
about nature.
As you can see from the picture the children loved
pretending to be bears in the woods!
