Your assignment is to create a PowerPoint Presentation for a section in your book. The section you
are covering is Chapter 16: Section 2. Follow the directions below carefully.
You may pick any slide background that you want, but just remember that you need to be able to easily
read the words on your slide! For example, don’t pick a green background and yellow font. That would
be ridiculously hard to read. Your goal is to 1) include all the information for the section and 2) make
each slide look good.

minerals and rocks make up caverns. Find a picture of a cavern.

stalagmites form. Describe how a column forms. Find pictures of stalactites, stalagmites, and columns.
Slide 6: The title of this slide will be “Results of Weathering by Groundwater”. Explain how a sinkhole
forms. Find a picture(s) of damage that has been done by sinkholes.
Slide 7: The title of this slide will be “Results of Weathering by Groundwater”. Find a picture of the
Natural Bridge in Virginia.
Slide 8: The title of this slide will be “Karst Topography”. Define karst topography. List some of the
areas in the U.S. that have karst topography. Find a picture illustrating karst topography.
