Aluminum Pull Tab Collection for
Ronald McDonald House

Why?
● Aluminum Pull Tabs are easy to collect!
● 1,267 tabs equals one pound of high-grade aluminum, which means a lot of money.
● The money is used to run Ronald McDonald Houses which give support to families with a child who is
receiving treatment in a hospital.
How?
● We will collect tabs until the end of May and then take them to the Ronald McDonald House here
in Northern Virginia.
● The Ronald McDonald House weighs the tabs and turns the aluminum in for money.
● We will have collection containers in the lobby, front office and in the cafeteria.
Don’t get confused…
We are NOT encouraging students to drink soda. We are encouraging students to turn in tabs.
Students are encouraged to ask family, friends, and neighbors to help add to our collection.
This is another way to show that we “C.A.R.E.” about others!
