TERMS AND CONDITIONS GOVERNING TRADING
AT THE NEW CROSS SHOPPING CENTER CAR PARK BOOT SALE
These Terms & Conditions must be obeyed and any infringement may lead to a permanent ban from trading at the car boot
sale. The Car Park Operators representative’s decisions in all matters relating to the boot sale, is final and binding.
1. Traders can only enter their spaces between 8:30am and 10am. There will be no exit until after 4pm and all
traders must be out of the car park by 5pm.
2. In the interest of safety early exit can only be authorised by the Operator’s representatives and only if
proved to be a genuine emergency and under the Operators representatives guidance.
3. Spaces can be pre booked but must be paid in advance on the Thursday following that weekends trading.

4. Only vehicles under the height of 1.7 meters are allowed to enter the car park.
5. Traders must pay for their spaces on entry to the car park at Level 1, or no entry will be permitted.
6. Spaces will be allocated on arrival at the car park on a first come first served basis. Traders can purchase up
to a maximum of two spaces if required.
7. Traders and their assistants are required to act in a polite and courteous manner at all times within the car
park and any disputes will be settled by the Operator’s representatives. Any decision made is Final and must
be obeyed by the Traders or they will risk being permanently banned from the car park.
8. Engines must be switched off after parking in the designated space(s). No idling will be allowed under any
circumstance.
9. Trader’s property and goods for sale must remain within the boundary of the space(s) purchased.
10. The Operator reserves the right to control the items being traded at the boot sale. The following items will
not be permitted for sale:- Alcohol, Tobacco/Cigarettes, Counterfeit Goods, Firearms, Knives/Offensive
Weapons, Copyright materials, Drugs, Explosives, Fireworks, Live Animals, Dangerous Chemicals, Corrosives,
Flammable liquids or any other items likely to cause fires or explosions. Without first getting permission
from the Local Authority.
11. Traders and their assistants must not sell any of the following compounds, liquids or chemicals to people
who are under the age of 18, unless those products have been altered to prevent solvent abuse. Acetone,
amyl, acetate, benzene, butane, carbon tetrachloride, cyclohexanone, ethyl acetate, hexane, isopropanol,
methyl ethyl ketone, methyl isobutyl ketone, methyl cellosolve acetate, methylene chloride, petroleum
hydrocarbons, tetrachloroethylene, totoul, toluene, trichloroethylene, or xylene.
12. Traders and their assistants should make themselves aware of any legal requirements or restrictions
governing the sale of their items to be sold and adhere strictly to any laws which apply therein.
13. Any stall holder who wishes to provide food for human consumption is required to comply with the Relevant
Legislation including Food Hygiene Scotland Regulations 2006 and Food Labelling Scotland Regulations 1996.
14. The Operators representatives reserve the right to bar any items from the boot sale that may be considered
dangerous and report to the relevant authority for assistance.
15. Pets are not permitted at the boot sale by either, Traders, Assistants or buyers at any time. Except guide
dogs being used by a blind person or for training purposes.
16. Traders are not permitted to sublet spaces.
17. All rubbish must be removed by the Trader or their assistants and spaces left clean and tidy before leaving
the car park.
