January 22, 2014 Lambert ABC Excellence in Citizenship Award 2013-2014 E-mail sent on January 8, 2014 Dear Longhorn Faculty & Staff, Lambert High School’s Academic Booster Club will honor 16 students during the school’s honors day near the end of spring semester with their inaugural “Excellence in Citizenship” award. The award will be given to a male and a female in each grade level for a total of 8 winners in the fall, and 8 winners in the spring. This award will be based on a student’s school citizenship, with the observable criteria being: Demonstrated respect for the school and all of its activities, expectations, rules, and requirements Demonstrated respect for other students, coaches, teachers, substitute teachers, administrators, staff, visitors, and himself A student who consistently demonstrates authentic leadership skills … who consistently “does the right thing” … is helpful … and always positive A student’s grade point average will not be a consideration for this award criteria We are relying on the nominations of faculty for the selection of these students. Once received, voting will be performed by the entire school staff, compiled, and reviewed. Winners will be determined by the LHS Synergy Team. At this time, the nominations for fall semester are now being accepted. Please email me the name and grade level of any student you think fit the above criteria and demonstrates excellence in citizenship. It does not have to be a student that you currently teach. Please take the time to nominate up to four students by the end of the day on January 31, 2014. As always, we appreciate your support.
