grin grants database Email: info@grin.coop Website: www.grin.coop Tel: 01884 255853 © Grin SW LLP A Limited Liability Partnership (Company no. OC374833) The grin grants database is really easy to use. It’s a colour-coded Word database that you can search by theme or by using a word search using the ‘Find’ tab in your control panel. o There are around 500 grant schemes currently on the database, which is updated on the 1st of every month. o The first column contains the name of each Charitable Trust or funding programme. The number following each name represents the grin bulletin the programme is o o o o o o o o listed in, so – if you collect the grin bulletins – this is an easy and instant reference point. The following 27 columns are presented in various colours so you can easily track each funding programme’s specific area of interest. The A B Charitable Trust, for instance, has a preference for grant aiding projects that benefit the elderly and minority groups, while the Adams Youth Trust focuses on benefiting young people. The next two columns contain the contact details for each programme, with links to the relevant website, webpage and email address where they exist. If no website or email is provided, this is normally an indication that the grant provider only accepts letters of application. The final column, ‘Notes’, contains any additional relevant information on each grant programme. You can easily compile your own list by cutting and pasting individual grant schemes or just deleting the entries which aren’t relevant to your project (make sure you save this as a separate document though!) Monthly updates will appear in this text box and denoted in the Word table by the addition of ‘New’ or ‘Updated’ in the first column. The database and monthly updates come with an accompanying resource list, including details of loans, awards, reports and plenty of other useful information, some of which you can request from us. Both databases are overhauled in August and December, the two months of the year when we don’t produce grin bulletins. We like to have a dialogue with database subscribers, so we’d love to hear from you if you have any queries about any of the schemes listed or want to have a chat about a project, service or new initiative.
