All carers are welcome. If it is your first meeting, please call Anne or Jo so we know you
are coming and can make you welcome. Please let us know if you need transport.

Lane, Warners End, HP1 2BH.

Welcome back - chair exercise to warm us up and get us moving.
26 Jan
Holiday and Travel Memories – bring along a photo or a story to share. Stick a
flag in our world map to show where you’ve been.
9 Feb
A warming, Indian-themed lunch. Anne and Jo will prepare some Indian dishes
for us all to enjoy (and some alternatives for those who don’t like spicy food.)
23 Feb
County Council speakers – The Care Act and important changes for carers
Nicki Smith and Stuart Bertram from Herts County Council will be speaking about
the right to a Carer’s Assessment that the new Care Act introduces in April 2015,
and about direct payments for carers.
This meeting is open to all carers – please join us to hear about these
important changes to the law for carers.

Musical Bingo – test your musical knowledge with this fun game
23 March
Easter cake and biscuit decorating with Toni Miller. Make an Easter work of art
for yourself or someone you care for. We’ll provide all the components.
Dates for Carers’ Outings Please be assured that we have arranged visits so people with
limited mobility can still take part. There are cafes and/or dry places to sit just a short walk from
where we park or drop you off (we use a Blue Badge). Minibuses have a tail lift so there is easy
access to and from the vehicle.
Thurs 19 March
Frogmore Paper Mill, Apsley £6.50 entry
Meet at Durrants Hill Road pay & display car park. Disabled parking at
front of visitors centre. Meet at 12.45 pm. Walk to entrance and join 1pm
guided tour. Enjoy the mill, café, gallery and shop. Leave by 3.30 pm.

TRING & BERKHAMSTED Carers’ Support Group

The group is open to any carer who would like to attend. If it is your first meeting,
please call Anne or Jo first so we know you’re coming and can make you
welcome. We would be glad to pick you up and bring you to your first meeting.
When there are walks or outings please be assured that we always arrange these so that
people with limited mobility can still take part. There are cafes and/or dry, safe, places to sit a
short walk from where we park or drop you off.

Meetings are usually on the first Thursday of the month 10 am – 12 noon at The Community
Lounge, Pond Close, off High Street, Tring HP23 5BE unless otherwise stated

Carers in Tring, Berkhamsted and the surrounding villages are very welcome to attend the
Hemel Group on Monday 23 February when Nicki Smith and Stuart Bertram from Herts County
