All 9th grade basketball players, boys and girls, interested in playing basketball
this winter need to attend an informational meeting at 11:40 am today ,Monday
11/9, in the New gym.
Girls Swim team members: We are going to have a mandatory Girls swimming
meeting on Monday, November 9 at 5:30 pm in the Cookie Corner of the
Cafeteria (Weiser)
The November meetings of the Pennbrook Baking Club will be Tuesday, November 10 and
Thursday, November 19. Both meetings will be in room 50 from 3:00 – 5:00.
Attention all Middle School Wrestlers….
You now have the opportunity to participate in preseason workouts for all North Penn Middle
School wrestlers. The workouts will run every Monday and Wednesday from 6:00 pm till 7:30
pm starting Monday November 2nd though Wednesday November 11th. The workouts will be
held at the High School wrestling room. The workouts are open to all 7th, 8th grade North Penn
School District students along with any 9th grade or HS wrestlers who can't attend the High
School workouts due to a fall sport conflict. The workouts will cover all aspects of wrestling and
conditioning. All wrestlers are welcome regardless of experience. Students who have never
wrestled and are interested in wrestling are encouraged to attend.
We will be holding a mandatory, introductory meeting on Thursday November 12 at 11:15 am
in the gym for 7/8 Wrestlers. Details about the season, practices, tournaments, and matches
will be communicated at this meeting
Permission slips to participate in the school play this year are due to the bin by
Mrs. Behren’s desk by next Thursday, November 12th. Don’t miss out on your
chance to join the play this year!
Don’t miss the Pennbrook Middle School Barnes & Noble Book Fair, Thursday,
November 12, 6:00-9:00pm at Barnes & Noble, 1271 Knapp Rd., North Wales.
The 9th Grade Band will perform at 6:30pm. Can’t make it on the 12th? You can
also support the Book Fair online: Visit bn.com/bookfairs. ID # 11742152.
(A percentage of your Barnes & Noble purchases will benefit our school/organization.)
Attention all writers, creative thinkers, and editors! Literary Magazine will meet
on Thursday, Nov. 12 from 3-4:00pm in Rm. 15, Mrs. Sinkinson’ s room. Please
arrange for a ride home after the meeting.
Any 7, 8, or 9th grader interested in cheering and performing dances at the
basketball games should attend the Winter Cheerleading informational meeting
on Friday, November 13th at 11:40 in the IMC. See Miss Koffel or Mrs. Christman
with any questions.
Try-outs for the high school girls’ basketball team, varsity and JV, begin
Monday, November 16 from 3:30 to 6:00. All girls, grades 9th through 12th are
invited to try-out. In order to try-out, all necessary paperwork must be
completed. If you have any questions, please contact Coach DeMarteleire at
215-853-1243.
Any 8th or 9th grader interested in joining Pennbrook’s Ski and Board club, there
will be an informational meeting held on Wednesday November 18th in the old
gym during Penn Time.
The Volunteer Corps will be collecting Toys for Tots now through December.
Please bring new and unwrapped toys for children in need. Collection bins are outside Mr.
Krall’s room in 7th grade hallway, at the entrance to the mods, and outside Mr. O’Brien’s
room in the 9th grade hallway.
Let’s see which grade can bring in the most toys!

The NPSD Family and Consumer Sciences Department has created a collection of
favorite recipes! The sale of the cookbook will benefit the NPHS – FCS
Scholarship Fund. A sample book is available on the main office table. Please
contact one of the Pennbrook Family and Consumer Sciences teachers, Louann
Moos (mooslm@npenn.org) or Cheryl Doyle( Doylecz@npenn.org) to place your
order.
Cookbooks are $15.00 CASH and are in stock NOW.
If you are in 8th or 9th grade and are interested in volunteering to be a soccer
buddy to children with special needs, please stop by the Guidance Office and
see Mr. Clancy. You’ll need to pick up a registration form.
The Top Soccer Program is a wonderful volunteer activity. Sessions occur on
Saturday afternoons from 3:30 to 4:30pm at Upper Dublin High School.
Student ID: Have you lost your student ID? Mrs. Lancia in Guidance can make
a replacement ID for you for $3.00.
Stop in before Homeroom or Lunch Study.
School Store: Cool weather is coming! Navy blue hooded sweatshirts are
available at the school store for $20.00. See Mrs. Beard with questions.
