Dear Parents,
I am writing to inform you of the arrangements for this year’s Junior School
Swimming Gala. The gala will take place on Friday 6th February 2015 at the
Breckland Leisure Centre between 2:00pm – 3:15pm. All pupils in EYFS –
Year 6 will be involved in this event.
Pupils will need to bring their swimming costume, two towels and plastic bag.
All pupils will travel to the Breckland Leisure Centre by coach.
All children will be representing their House teams in a variety of events in the
main pool with EYFS pupils enjoying a swimming lesson with Ms Blakemore in
the learner pool. The exact order of events will be available in programmes on
the day. Please note that for health and safety reasons, spectators who would
prefer to sit poolside are required to remove their shoes.
Refreshments will be provided for pupils and presentations made at the
conclusion of the gala. Pupils returning back to school for normal collection,
After Care or to catch a bus will travel by coach with Junior School staff members
ready for the normal pick-up time. If preferred, parents may take their children
home directly from the Breckland Leisure Centre at 3:30pm once they have
changed out of their costumes. Please indicate how your child will be collected
on the day using the slip attached and return it to the Junior School Post Box by
Friday 30th January.
The children have been practising really hard in their weekly swimming lessons
and I look forward to seeing you at this exciting event.

 My child(ren)will return to school by coach at the end of the Gala.
 My child(ren) will be collected at 3:30pm from Breckland Leisure Centre and will not
need to travel by coach back to school. I understand that if my child has not been
collected by 3:30pm that they will return to school by coach with Junior School staff.
