Baldwin Middle Senior Guidance Update!
What’s going on with
Baldwin’s School Counselors?
Here is who does what in our department! When dealing with our students,
please direct them to their grade level appropriate counselor. Also, if you have
any questions, please refer to the appropriate grade level so that we can better
assist you!

Middle School Counselor: Grades 6-8 (Ext. 1117)
Mrs. Brooke Rimondi
High School Counselor: Grades 9 and 12 (Ext.1116)

The counselors at Baldwin regularly attend things such as: IEP Meetings, AIT
Meetings, RTI Meetings, facilitate the MRT Meetings, have 504 Meetings and
write 504 Plans, Department Chair Meetings, and attend a variety of
workshops and trainings. Here is a quick look at what the counselors are up
to right now:
Ms. DeWalt’s Doings…
DECEMBER/ JANUARY
 Identified all at risk 6th, 7th, and 8th graders and contacted parents to
discuss options for getting parents involved, having conferences if
needed and providing makeup work
 Working on Baldwin’s Mentor/ Mentee Club
 6th grade classroom guidance on Rumor/ Drama Prevention and
conflict resolution
 Attended a School Violence Prevention Training to present to staff
 Set up 8th-9th Grade transition Night for January 16th, 2014 at 6pm
 Attending our feeder elementary schools parent nights to speak to
incoming 6th graders for next year
 Set up all 6th and 11th grade vision, hearing, and scoliosis screenings
 Success Cards and Counselor’s Corner every Friday at Lunch
 Individual and small group counseling on Character Development
(decision making and goal setting)
 Grief Counseling

The School Counseling office of Baldwin Middle-Senior High school is
dedicated to every student’s academic, career and personal success.
Students are encouraged to meet their academic challenges and excel
as students. Additionally, all students are expected to graduate
prepared for postsecondary education and/or the work force. Overall,
