Eligibility Criteria –
SouthEast Bank Scholars must meet the following criteria:
 Be a first-time freshman entering the Fall 2014 term,
 Be a Tennessee resident,
 Have a minimum 3.25 GPA for the first 7 semesters of high school or 23 ACT composite (1070 SAT),
 Demonstrate financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA),
 Be enrolled full time in a degree program,
 Be majoring in either Accounting or Finance,
 Demonstrate involvement in community service/leadership.
Application Requirements –
Interested first-time freshmen, entering UTC for Fall 2014, who feel they meet the above criteria should:
 Submit this application, including a 250 word essay (addressed below),
 Have an official high school transcript on file with the UTC Admissions Office, containing at least
seven (7) semesters of course work.
 Have official results of your ACT (SAT) exam on file with the UTC Admissions Office,
 Have your FAFSA on file with UTC Financial Aid by April 15, 2014. The FAFSA is available beginning
January 1st, 2014 and should be filed promptly.
