Elective Courses
Electives that fulfill FMS elective requirements for FMS majors are marked as follows: Non-US film and
media = [non-US]; theory = [THEORY]; upper level course = [UPPER]. All film and media practice
courses fulfill the practice elective requirement for FMS majors. Only courses marked [MINOR] fulfill the
practice elective requirement for FMS minors. Electives cannot be "double counted"—an elective can only
fulfill one FMS elective requirement.
The electives are subdivided into optional concentrations in Film Studies, Communications and Media
Studies, and Film and Media Practice.
