Position: P r o g r a m Evaluation Manager Location: CASA of Los Angeles in Monterey Park Hours: Full-time, hours 8AM-5PM Organization Overview CASA of Los Angeles mobilizes community volunteers to serve as advocates for abused and neglected children in foster care. The organization envisions a Los Angeles where every child has an advocate and the opportunity to thrive. We believe that every child deserves a lifelong connection with a caring adult. A CASA, or Court Appointed Special Advocate, is a trained and staff-supported volunteer, appointed by a judge to advocate for a foster child. CASA of Los Angeles actively recruits, trains and screens these volunteers. Overview of Program Position CASA’s Monterey Park office is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to design, manage and produce the program performance evaluation for the organization. This individual will be motivated and a self- starter with an interest in the opportunity to design the program evaluation for CASA from the ground up. Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for the design, implementation and management of the program evaluation component for CASA of Los Angeles. Responsible for managing multiple research projects and evaluation required by key funders. Responsible for developing databases and to provide regular analysis and reporting to key stakeholders. Responsible for designing, administering and analyzing a survey to evaluate the success of the CASA programs. Establish and manage internal systems for effective and efficient program reporting. Development of evaluation tools and processes and innovative approaches in evaluation. Reporting to the Executive Director this individual will partner with the management team on strategically approaching measurement and evaluation design. Responsible for identifying key indicators and utilize Optima system in gathering milestone data related to child outcomes. Candidate Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in a related field. At least 3-5 years’ experience as well as advanced knowledge in program evaluation and research methodology. Experience in program performance analysis and evaluation design. Experience designing and administering surveys. Highly proficient in MS Office with the ability to learn new systems easily Advanced MS Excel, Powerpoint and other software skills, ability to produce tables, graphs and presentations. Highly proficient working with both quantitative and qualitative data . Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment. Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task. Ability to partner with management team in developing measurement that will inform program management and priorities.
