General Information
The Night Hike is an annual team competition for walkers, runners and orienteers. This year it is
being held around the woodland and hills of Capel, Surrey. The event is organised by the
Recreational Clubs Committee, a part of Imperial College Union.
In a team of 2 or more people (one team member must be staff, student or alumnus of Imperial
College) you plan your route on the course map, navigating at night to checkpoints to collect points.
Different checkpoints will be worth different amounts, and you can go to as many or as few as you
like, but you must be back on time or you will lose. On completion, you can camp in either the scout
hut or in a tent and receive a breakfast the following day of cereals and bacon rolls!
A shuttle bus to/from Beit Quad (Union, London) is available. On the night full support is provided,
including a minibus to collect any competitors who wish to withdraw from the event.
You should plan to be away:
18:30 Saturday 15rd February to 23:00 Saturday 15th February 2014
In order to compete you must have completed and sent us your team entry form (one per team) and
have all paid (one ticket per person bought online).
