All children should be in school by 8.50am at the latest. Parent Governor By the given deadline, 9am Friday 25th September, one parent, Mr Rakesh Lal, was nominated to be a parent governor. Mr Lal therefore is elected unopposed to St Patrick's Governing Body. Year 6 have been learning about the brain in their Humanities and P4C session. They made a model of a brain and then used their brains to solve some brainteasers. Brainteaser – If a hole measures 2m x 4m x 5m. How much dirt is there in the hole? Cash Bingo The Friends of St Patrick’s will be holding their first Cash Bingo on Thursday 1 October. Doors open at 5.15pm for eyes down at 6.00pm. Refreshments will be available and children must be accompanied by an adult. Leamington Spa Old Town – Brocante – Clemens Street, Court Street and Court Street Car Park On 27 September ( this weekend ) an event in Leamington Old Town gives pupils and parents a chance to get involved in working with artists from local studios into painting, sculpture from recycled materials, storytelling, music and dance, accompanied by food stalls, ice cream, vintage goods and a bouncy castle to complete the event. Weave Recycle will be running creative education activities on site, and there will be other attractions and education opportunities for families to be involved with. The event is being run by LOTT ( Leamington Old Town Team ) a not for profit social enterprise, part of the Mary Portas initiative and their aims include bringing interesting events to Leamington Spa especially the area of Old Town. Hear them talk about digital detox and the importance of connecting with people face to face, especially with regards to family. Then get the chance to look at some of the letters and other material in the Record Office’s collections and find out how we used to communicate with one another in the past.
