This community-based, partial-hospital program operates five days per week, treating youths

(aged 5 to 17) that are struggling with more severe emotional problems. It is designed as an
alternative to hospitalization, and helps keep families united in their community. Our
multidisciplinary team approach includes individual, family and group therapy, as well as
psychiatric assessment and pharmacological management.

Crisis Intervention Services:
The Tri-County Crisis Center is located on the main campus of UVMC. Services are
available both through calling the Crisis Hotline at (937) 335-7148 or 1-800-3516
7347 and by walk-in assessment by providing intervention for children, adolescents,
and adults in a Behavioral Health crisis

UVMC Behavioral Health Care Youth Services:
UVMC’s Behavioral Health continuum of care for youths includes a full range of
mental health services with appropriately integrated dual diagnosis services and a
strong emphasis on family education and involvement in treatment. Admission
requires an in-depth assessment to assure the most appropriate level of care and case
management is enlisted at all levels.

Youth Inpatient Services. Intensive, inpatient psychiatric treatment for children
(ages 5-11) and adolescents (ages 12-17), including medically monitored, 24-hour per
day nursing care provided seven days a week. While the length of treatment varies,
the average length of stay is 5-7 days. Youth and families are treated by a
multidisciplinary team with individualized care and a focus on healthy coping skills.

UVMC Behavioral Health Outpatient Services provide outpatient therapy and
medication management for children, adolescents and families of the surrounding
area. UVMC Behavioral Health Outpatient Services has Board Certified

The Behavioral Medicine Program at Cincinnati Children's is uniquely qualified to provide
behavioral assessment, treatment and prevention to children and adolescents with acute and

Clinical Psychology Program:
Our Clinical Psychology Program at Cincinnati Children's provides more traditional behavioral
health services for children and adolescents. These services focus on psychological assessment,
diagnostic work-up and treatment for a variety of disorders such as: Attention deficit
hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Depression, Anxiety, Oppositional defiant disorder
&Adjustment disorder.

Fox Run treats both boys and girls, ages 5-17, who are diagnosed with a psychiatric condition
which requires in-patient placement. We have specialized treatment programs and living areas
for each of our programmed groups. Our Dreams Program serves children ages 5-12; our Visions
Program is tailored to those youth managing Developmental Disabilities (IQ 50-70). We also
offer clinical treatment and programming for adolescents ages 12-17 in our Hopes and Choices
groups. Individual, group, and family therapies. We have a fully accredited public school
focusing on special educational needs that provides a full transfer of credits earned back to their
home district. Our school is equipped with state-of-the-art opportunities include laptops, iPads,

Pediatric Psychology and Neuropsychology:
Pediatric Psychology and Neuropsychology concentrates services in two primary areas.
Pediatric Psychology: provides specialized assessment and intervention services that focus on
the relationship between children’s cognitive, social, and emotional functioning and physical
health. Typically for children with co-occurring medical conditions (e.g., cancer, diabetes, sickle
cell disease).

Pediatric Neuropsychology: performs specialized evaluations for children and adolescents with
a range of medical and neurological disorders that impact thinking or behavior (e.g., brain
tumors, epilepsy, seizure disorders, and traumatic brain injury).
Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders & Developmental Assessment Program:
The Developmental Assessment Program (DAP), a program of the Department of Psychology,
provides autism and MRDD diagnostic and psychological assessment. The DAP is a
comprehensive, interdisciplinary service focused on the assessment of children with suspected
developmental disabilities. Primary clinical services include psychological testing to assist in the
evaluation of developmental delays, severe learning difficulties, and co-occurring emotional and
behavioral difficulties.
Services of DAP include: Interdisciplinary Diagnostic Appointments with a psychologist,
physician and speech pathologist to rule out autism, Follow-up assessments as needed in
occupational therapy and genetics, Psychological assessments, Follow-up consultations
(psychological and medical) for clients previously seen, Autism Resource Coordination –
information and linkage to services within the hospital and community
Psychiatry and Community Behavioral Health: Services available include: Pediatric crisis
assessment and management services; Consultation-liaison services for youth hospitalized at
Nationwide Children's. 20 child and adolescent psychiatric inpatient beds at OSU-Harding
Hospital. Intermediate levels of psychiatric care in the community, courts, and schools. A multisite outpatient treatment program.
