Project guideline for MKT 340
The objective of the project is to explore the channel strategies and tactics used by the local companies
(international companies in KSA) in organizing, managing and optimizing the performance of the
channel.
Group (2-3 members) or individual
Maximum 20-25 pages; minimum 15 pages
Minimum 40 references
In case you have more than one class with me you may use same company
Deadline April 20, 2015. Early (minimum 5 days in advance) full submission will ad 2.5%

Clearly stated goal and objectives (or main questions you’d like to address ) of the project (that
will be reflected in the project title)
Methods used for analysis and collection of the data
Sources of data
Main content (what need to be discussed/included to answer the key questions); logically
structured subtopics of main content (that allow the reader to understand the flow of your
thinking and analysis)
Short conclusions/summary in each parts (if required)
Interview with local manager (with reference to the questions you set at the beginning of the
project)
Overall conclusion of the project (main findings based on the initial objectives)
Reference page (use one citation style: APA/Harvard/Chicago)
Additional material as an appendix (graphs/diagrams/tables/sketches)
Formal requirements:
a. All pages must be numbered
b. All figures (graphs/diagrams/tables/sketches) must be indexed, titled and provided with the
source reference underneath
c. Use one of the Word templates to make your report presentable
Video Interview guideline:
1. You video interview should cover all the main topics discussed in your project
2. Before the interview you should explain to the manager that the information will be used only
for the academic purposes (Non-disclosure agreement may be signed between CBA and the
company on the company’s request)
3. The questions should be balanced, reflecting all the main points you’ve researched in the
project and avoid sensitive issues that company may not like to disclose (this could be discussed
in advance)
4. When recording a video make a short test to check the video and audio quality; for editing the
video many trial versions of the software are available on the internet
