Halloun New Courses Spoken & Media Arabic in Jerusalem starting September 1st, 2014 Courses specializing in the dialect of the Jerusalem area, with clear and systematic methodology Spoken Arabic Level I: Beginners Level Learning elements of Colloquial Arabic (vocabulary, grammar and conversation) by studying short texts & conversations to communicate in daily life. Mondays & Wednesdays 6 - 7.30 pm. Spoken Arabic Level II: Intermediate Level Directed to students who finished between 40 and 60 academic hours of Spoken Arabic or those who have studied MSA. Mondays & Wednesdays 7.30 - 9 pm. Spoken Arabic Level III: Advanced Level Developing fluency in conversation. For students who have completed two elementary courses in Spoken Arabic or the equivalent. Mondays & Wednesdays 7.30 - 9 pm. Spoken Arabic Level IV: Advanced Level Developing fluency in longer dialogues on various subjects. For students who have completed three courses in Spoken Arabic or the equivalent. Tuesdays & Thursdays 6 - 7.30 pm. Media Arabic Advanced Level: Learning texts from oral and written Media. The aim of the course is to improve reading and speaking. Participation by prior approval of the teacher only. Tuesdays & Thursdays 7.30 - 9 pm. The courses run from September 1st, 2014 until October 21st, 2014. The courses follow Prof. Halloun's methodology and books: „Spoken Arabic for Foreigners. An Introduction to the Palestinian Dialect“ Vol. I & II; „Practical Dictionary of the Standard Dialect spoken in Palestine“ & „Media Arabic. An Introduction to Arab Written Press“ Vol. I (2013).
