*Gustar does not conjugate like a regular –ar verb due to it’s literal translation in
Spanish.
*The English equivalent of “gustar” is “to like”. Example: me gusta = I like
*The literal translation of “gustar” is “to be pleasing”. Example: me gusta = it is
pleasing to me

te gusta (n) os gusta (n)
le gusta (n) les gusta (n)
me gusta = it is pleasing to me
me gustan = they are pleasing to me
te gusta = it is pleasing to you (familiar)
te gustan = they are pleasing to you (familiar)
le gusta = it is pleasing to him, her, it, you (formal)
le gustan = they are pleasing to him, her, it, you (formal)
nos gusta = it is pleasing to us
nos gustan = they are pleasing to us
os gusta = it is pleasing to you all (familiar)
os gustan = they are pleasing to you all (familiar)
les gusta = it is pleasing to them, you all (formal)
les gustan = they are pleasing to them, you all (formal)
*Use “gusta” when what is liked is one singular noun.
*Use “gustan” when what is liked is plural. (plural nouns and two or more singular
nouns.
*Use “gusta” with verbs, no matter how many verbs.

*Encantar works just like gustar.
