OFFALY 057-93-24577 SIMMENTAL SALE Roscommon May 16th Dear Breeder, Enclosed please find entry form for the sale of pedigree bulls, which will take place at Roscommon Mart, on Friday May 16th, 2014 Please note the following conditions of entry: Entry Number as per entry form on a registration basis for “A” & “B” Members Bulls must be born on or between 01/11/12 & 31/05/13 All animals born after March 1st 2012 must be Linear Scored and Weight Recorded to be eligible for entry. Animals scored within the ICBF set age limits will have full evaluations published in the sale catalogue while those scored outside these age limits will have parental averages published. Entry fee of €40 per animal. (€50 where Pedigree Cert is not returned with entry) All Animals must be Standard TB Tested All Animals must be tested BVD Virus Negative and Animal declaration must be returned with entry. Transfer fee must be paid and new cert supplied for heifers not homebred. All animals must be in your Pedigree Herd for 3 months prior to entry date. For 6 months in the case of imported animals While it is not a requirement to have Dams of all animals Johnes tested, Council strongly recommend that breeders continue a policy of Johnes testing All animals must pass an inspection on the Day of the sale by a Society Inspector. All animals must be penned on the Sale Day by 5pm to allow for inspection All bulls presented for sale must have a nose ring in place Pedigree certificate must be returned with entry. An additional fee of €10 will be payable where certs are not sent in with the entry form Show Coats – All Exhibitors must wear white Show Coats in Show & Sales Ring Closing date for receipt of entries is April 29th. Animal Health Declaration – An Individual Animal Health Declaration must be returned for each animal entered into the sale. These forms will forward on to purchasers if animal is sold. All animals catalogued for the sale must pass an inspection on the Day of the Sale by the Society appointed Inspector(s). 2. All Animals must be penned on the Day of the sale by 5pm 3. All cattle exhibited must come from herds unrestricted for T.B. and Brucellosis and are required to be moved direct to the show and sale. 4. All cattle entered for this show and sale must be accepted for entry in the Society Herd Book and be in the Pedigree Herd of the vendor three months prior to Sale date & 6 months in the case on imported animals. 5. All animals must be tested to the following Standard – Standard TB + Tested BVD Free 6. Lorries or other vehicles must be thoroughly cleansed and disinfected immediately before use in transporting the animals both to and from the show and sale. 7. Cattle will be sold subject to the rules and regulations of the Irish Simmental Cattle Society Ltd. 8. All bulls presented for Sale inspection must have a nose ring in place. 9. Each animal must be supplied with a halter, to become the property of the purchaser immediately after the animal is sold. The Society will deduct €10 from the sale price to provide the purchaser with the halter if this requirement is not met. 12. The Council of the Irish Simmental Cattle Society will set a base-selling price. 13. All maiden heifers must be guaranteed free of calf. Any females having been flushed must be declared as such. 14. If a vendor elects to guarantee a female offered for sale as being in-calf, the only guarantee acceptable by the Society is a positive pregnancy test certified by a Veterinary Surgeon. 15. All cattle being linear scored must be Scored by March 15 th to ensure evaluation data is included in the sale catalogue 16. Sellers of animals sold for export must ensure animals are accommodated until exported should any issue arise on sale day preventing export. 17. The Society reserves the right to refuse admission of any animal to the sale. 18. Sales of all animals present on the day (in sales ring or outside after being through the sales ring) must be put through the marts books. Any breeder found doing otherwise will be excluded from sales for 12 months. 19. All animals will be on the market from the start with the seller accepting or rejecting price reached by the auctioneer at finish of bidding. 20. Entry Numbers - If entry numbers are in excess of agreed targets, Council reserves the right to cancel Younger Classes and refund fees. 21. All Exhibitors must wear white Show Coats when entering the Show & Sales ring.
