This STALLION BREEDING CONTRACT for the breeding season of spring 2012 , is made and entered into on the .................................. by and between
, herein after designated Breeder, and ...................................: herein after designated Mare Owner.
Mare Owner agrees to breed the mare ________________________, Reg.No.
___________________, to: ________________________________ for $.............. inc. GST for chilled semen.
1. The Stallion fee includes a non refundable administrative booking fee of
$300.00 payable upon execution of this contract. The balance of this fee must be paid for before semen is released from Hinterland Equine Veterinary services
2. All fees incurred by the mare owner are the responsibility of the mare owner alone.
3. The mare shall be in a healthy and sound breeding condition, free from infections, contagious and or transmissible diseases.
4. The Mare Owner must submit details of the mare, including any and all markings, branding, microchip number if applicable, a copy of pedigree papers and photographs. This information will be used when the mare is settled in foal and a covering certificate can be issued.
Please ensure your own insemination veterinarian has a copy of these details.
5. To ensure first rate results, the mare owner must source and nominate an experienced AI reproductive centre that specializes in handling chilled semen with confirmed results, to carry out the insemination procedure. Should the insemination procedure be carried out by an unnominated, unauthorized and or in experienced AI veterinary centre, this contract will be null and void with no loss or responsibility falling on the breeder.
6. The breeder offers 8 straws in one dose. To accompany the semen will be strict guidelines for the insemination procedure supplied by TEVC.
7. If the mare is unable to settle in foal using the chilled semen provided, one further dose will be dispatched to your nominated veterinarian (all collection costs/shipment/insemination) will be at the mare owners cost. One further semen dose will be free of charge, however, transportation to get the stallion to TEVC will be charged. If further semen is required after this point, the full charges will apply and Mountain Park GC advise you select a different mare for AI procedure. PLEASE NOTE: the replacement mare will need MPGC approval

8. The mare is to be scanned at 19 days after first insemination, if confirmed in foal, she must then be re-scanned at 45 days.
9. No responsibility or cost, whole or in part, for whatever reason will fall upon the breeder for loss of foal, at or after the 45 days scanning in utero.
10. It will be the responsibility of the mare owner once the mare is confirmed in foal, that the mare owner insures the foal in utero. It is advised that two confirmed scanning certificates from a veterinary officer are required for insurance purposes.
11. The breeder will offer a live foal guarantee only once the foal is born and not before. The guarantee will last for 24 hours, whereby the foal has successfully suckled and nursed. A death certificate is required from the
MARE OWNER’S veterinarian. The stud fee shall only be carried forward one season, however, thereafter this contract shall be deemed fulfilled even if said mare fails to conceive or deliver a live foal in the subsequent season.
12. If the stallion or mare die, or if the stallion is sold or if the mare is sold the
LFG will become null and void.
13. This Contract in whole or part is non-assignable and non-transferable.
14. Should either party breach this contract, the breaching party shall pay for the others legal costs including solicitors and attorney fees related to such a breach, if the matter cannot be resolved amicably and thereafter proceeds to a court of law.
15.This Contract represents the entire agreement between the parties. No other agreements or promises, verbal or implied are included unless specifically stated in this written Contract.
