A Northern Michigan Public Service Academy Program
This full-day seminar will focus on the basics of records and
electronic records management, including file organization,
federal and state record retention guidelines, record
destruction best practices, and policy and procedure
implementation. Attendees will actively participate through
small group discussion and practical hands-on activities, and
will be encouraged to ask questions. Most importantly,
participants will leave with tools and resources they can use
to better manage both permanent and non-permanent
records.
Presenter:
Sara Kiszka is the Records Analyst at the Central Upper
Peninsula and Northern Michigan University Archives, and
holds an advanced degree from Indiana University in
Archives and Records Management. In addition, she is also a
certified Digital Archives Specialist and has presented at both
regional and national conferences.
Cancellations
Refunds will be made only if NMPSA is
notified of cancellation by Tuesday,
November 10. If you find that you cannot
attend, you may transfer your registration to
another member who has not yet registered.
