Qualifications and Memberships
He received his medical degree from New York Medical College. He completed his internship and
residency in general surgery at Westchester County Medical Center in Valhalla, New York, where he was
Chief Surgical Resident and received honors recognition by the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society. He
continued his professional training at the University Of Oklahoma College Of Medicine in Oklahoma City,
where he was Chief Resident in Plastic Surgery, and at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan.
Dr. Farella is a member of the American Society of Plastic surgeons and the American Society for
Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the
Westchester Society of Medicine, the American Medical Association and the Surgical Society of New
York Medical College. He also is Assistant Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at New York Medical
College. Dr Farella is the director of the Northeast Ambulatory Surgery Center PC which is accredited by
AAAASF.

1. Saline Breast Implants/Augmentation
Breast augmentation is a method of enlarging the breasts by using breast implants. This procedure is
used for patients with small or unequal breasts or patients who have lost breast volume through age,
pregnancy or breast- feeding. The implants used for primary breast enhancements are saline or silicone
implants. Dr. Farella prefers to use smooth- round saline implants inserted around the nipple and placed
under the muscle.
2. Silicone Breast Implants/Augmentation
Silicone breast implants, also called cohesive gel implants, offer a natural-feeling alternative with a
better aesthetic result than saline implants. They are softer and look and feel more like real breasts.
3. Breast Lift
A breast-lift, or mastopexy changes the shape of your breast from a teardrop to a cone, repositions the
nipple to a higher level, and may reduce the nipple areola to a more pleasing size. If you have lost breast
volume, and would like to add more fullness, implants may be inserted during surgery. During your
mastopexy, Dr. Farella removes excess skin, lifts the nipple, and pulls together and sutures the breast,
which improves the shape and contour.
4. Breast Reduction
Breast Reduction or Reduction Mammaplasty, reduces the size of your breasts by making your breasts
more proportional to the rest of your body. Breast-reduction is a procedure where excess breast tissue,
fat, and skin are removed.
