EGB06007 Equipment Support Manager
Main duties and Responsibilities













Support the coordination of DE&S activity relating to the Army Equipment Programme (EPP
and ESP), specifically in relation to the Annual Budgeting Cycle and management of the
Command Acquisition Support Plan.
The posts duties consist of equipment support for a vast array of dental operating units,
physiotherapy equipment, surgical devices, dental X-ray equipment and veterinarian dental
devices.
In addition this cell is also responsible for managing dental spares contracts. This is work
prioritised as support to Operations, then Force Elements at Readiness (FE@R), followed by
other medical services.
Within this equipment suite, as directed by C2 the D grade can be expected to create, review
and update AESP’s.
Liaise with OEM’s.
Update and interrogate management information systems to include JAMES, ISIS, SS3, MJDI
and MOSS.
Update and review Repair Pool Maintainability table for DMC range.
Assist in Airworthiness information gathering.
Raise Business Cases and manage contracts in conjunction with the Commercial team.
Address equipment shortfalls, risks and issues over a ten year refresh cycle, both current and
projected.
Provide technical support to Type 1 and 2 customers for equipment within DMC range.
Equipment Failure Reports, Component Reports, Significant Event Reporting and SEFIT
Activity (Critical and non-critical).
Continuity of supply, new acquisition support.
Key Tasks and Deliverables




AESP reviews and re-writes.
Work with Project eam to ensure training/finance/calibration/maintenance/documentation
(AESP)/infection control issues etc. are part of the equipment handover into service.

Experience


Experience in any/all JAMES, ISIS, SS3, MJDI and MOSS.
Strong experience in Creating, reviewing and updating AESP’s.
Desirable Experience



Service background I.E REME
Experience In maintaining dental equipment X-ray etc.
Experience of a strong technical background.
