The Israel in Ireland Song Project is a unique online Singing
Contest open to anyone in Ireland, who is passionate about
music. This Project welcomes all kinds of singers - solo
performers and groups. This Project is an opportunity for
performers to become acquainted with authentic Israeli songs
whilst having the chance to win a prize worth 2000 euros.
An additional bonus is that the performers who are placed 1st,
2nd and 3rd will be asked to nominate a charity of their choice
working in Ireland and the Israel in Ireland Song Project will
donate 200 euro in their name to the chosen charity.
While Irish music enjoys great popularity in Israel, Israeli
music is not very well known here. The aim of this project is
to introduce Israeli music to an Irish audience.
The
competition will be conducted online. Your entry will consist of
a video recording uploaded to YouTube (we need at least 20 for
the project to proceed). The five lucky winners will be chosen
by a combination of a panel of Irish and Israeli Judges and the
number of "LIKE"s received on the Israel in Ireland Facebook
page: https://www.facebook.com/IsraelinIreland
How it Works? Who's Eligible? The Israel in Ireland Song
Project accepts Irish singers or singers resident in Ireland
only. There is no age limit, no experience required, just talent!
Singers will learn one Israeli song of their choice (you have the
option to choose a song from the suggested list of 70 songs.

How to apply (5 easy stages)
Stage 1
You listen to various Israeli songs on Youtube (the list of songs
below may assist you. Click here) and choose your favorite song,
which you would like to perform.
It must be an original Israeli song: lyrics + melody and has to
be sung in Hebrew due to Intellectual property and copyrights
rights issues. Don't worry; upon your request on the
registration form, we will assist with the phonetic
translation to read Hebrew with English letters!
Stage 2
You fill the Registration Form below and email it to:
israelinirelandsongproject@gmail.com
Once we have accepted your application – you can move to
stage 3. In case you checked the box to receive the phonetic
translation –"how to sing in Hebrew with English letters"We'll do our best to provide you with the phonetic translation
and a short explanation of what the song is about. We can't
guarantee to provide the notes but we count on your good
musical ear to pick up the tune yourself and to know how to
play the music with your own unique style.
Stage 3
This is the stage in which you actually prepare your song choice
and learn how to sing the Israeli song -alone or with your band-.
(In case you win, the prize will go to the main
applicant/candidate written on the application Form. The
money later can be split between the band members but
without our intervention).
It's time to prepare the YouTube video. Wait!
The video should be edited as follows:

Part A:
A short self-introduction which MUST be shot outside near
an identifiable Irish feature (i.e. scenery/name of a street/
shop/church/school/tourist attraction/other)
That will be your "proof" that you are filming in Ireland
i. You introduce yourself (name/nickname/band name/other)
ii. your age (optional)
iii. The city/ county in Ireland you're coming from
iv. The name of the Israeli song that you chose and why
(optional) for the contest
v. In case you win, the name of the charity/organization you
wish the Israel in Ireland Song Project to donate 200
euro on the combined behalf of you and the Song Project.
Part B:
This part can be shot indoors.
Here you will be filmed singing the cover of the Israeli
song. You can sing it with or without accompaniment; you
can stand still or dance. You can create your own music
video clip. Everything goes. The more original the better!
Part c:
After the video is prepared, upload it on YouTube and submit it
to: israelinirelandsongproject@gmail.com
Stage 4
When all the video applications are received, The Israel in
Ireland Song Project team of judges will evaluate the videos
and choose those that qualify for the next stage. By
submitting the videos, you are giving authorization to the
Israel in Ireland Song Project to screen all the videos –
including those which did not qualify - or to use it for any
reasonable use at the embassy affiliated internet sites or for
promotion in the media in Ireland, Israel or elsewhere, as
required. Once submitted, the video becomes an integral
part of the Israel in Ireland song project.

The applicants who reached this stage will be informed by
email that they have reached the final stage and your song will
now be presented to the public for voting.
The finalists will be put for public voting on the "Israel in
Ireland” Facebook page:

The Judges at this stage are YOU, your family, friends,
neighbors etc. Everyone can follow their favorite candidates
and vote for them by clicking “Like” on the "Israel in Ireland"
Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/IsraelinIreland and
then “Like” on the song of their choice.
The votes will be combined into the final vote of the Israel In
Ireland Song Project team of judges. The discussion of the team of
judges will not be made public.
The Likes on the Israel in Ireland page will be calculated up
until two days prior to the final decision. The more people
who vote "LIKE" for your song on the "Israel in Ireland"
Facebook page – the more chances you've got to win. Your
song will be posted every week for the duration of the project
and in the end all the accumulated LIKEs will be calculated to
one total. It is your responsibility to encourage as many people
as you know to enter the "Israel in Ireland" page and to look
for your song and LIKE it.
1st prize will be awarded to the contestant, who achieves the
highest score from the combined total of the judge’s votes and
the votes via Facebook. 2nd prize will be awarded to the
person who achieved the highest number of Likes on Facebook
regardless of the judges' votes (if this is not the 1st prize
winner).

Stage 5
On January 31st the winners of the Israel in Ireland song
project will be announced by email and on the Israel in Ireland
Facebook page.
The 1st prize will be €2000
The 2nd prize will be €750
The 3rd prize will be €400
The 4th prize will be €300
The 5th prize will be €200
All the prizes will be issued in ONE4ALL gift

An additional 200 Euro will be given by the Israel in Ireland
song project in the mutual name of the Project and the 1st, 2nd
and 3rd winners to his/her chosen charity who work in Ireland.
Note: The winners themselves may be invited to perform with
their winning songs at one of the prestigious Israeli cultural
events in Ireland during 2013.

The Production is also entitled - with no limitation whatsoever to use the candidate’s recordings / performances mentioned
above for purposes of promoting and carrying out including to
upload to "YouTube", and\or to include it in The Israel In
Ireland Song Project website \ Facebook.

The Israel in Ireland Song Project is open to both male and female
competitors, to all types of singers, solo artists and groups. Our aim
