The 6 to 9 year old child has grown to an awareness that the Gifts of God require a certain response and
sometimes our response falls short. They have a new appreciation of the relationship between the Good
Shepherd and the sheep, and love reflecting on life in the True Vine. During these years, we also focus even
more deeply on the Mass and the children use their knowledge of the gestures and the articles of the Mass
that they learned about in Level 1 to begin work on the Rite of the Mass. They are given the opportunity to
work on a short Missal, which will be expanded in the Level 3 atrium.
