Dear Parent/Carer,
On the night of Thursday 6th February we will be hosting a second information evening at the Taunton Academy on
the topic of ‘How your children learn using iPads, and how you can keep them safe’. It will consist of two short
presentations. Mrs. Madgin will be demonstrating how the iPads can be used to promote learning and Mr Ian Gover
from the Local authority will be talking about 'eSafety'.
Parents and Carers from all year groups are welcome and the session will commence at 6pm at the Academy. The
presentations should take approximately 45 minutes with a question and answer session afterwards. Members of
the eSafety committee and the guest speaker will be available afterwards to answer your questions and tea, coffee
and biscuits will also be provided.
With the national press coverage of ‘sexting’ and the importance of keeping our children safe whilst on line we
would encourage all parents to attend a session.
If you would like to attend this session please retain the top half of the letter for information and return the slip at
the bottom to Reception by Wednesday 5th February to allow us to gain an idea of numbers attending.
