Complete the IBL Enrolment & Placement Plan Form (Attached) First negotiate with an external organisation to complete your IBL placement. Complete and sign this detailed form with your host supervisor and return the form at least 2 weeks prior to your intended IBL enrolment semester so that you have time to resubmit your plan if approval is not granted. Before you submit your signed Enrolment and Placement Plan form you need to complete the online Enrolment and Placement Form (Key Details) which can be found on the BBus Moodle site. This is so that key details of your enrolment and placement plan are captured electronically. You will be manually enrolled onto the course once your Enrolment and Placement Plan has been approved by the IBL course Co-ordinator and you have met the course pre-requisites. Approval of enrolment will be sent by the IBL Co-ordinator via email . Once you are enrolled you will have access to the IBL course on Moodle. For further information regarding enrolment please contact the IBL Course Co-ordinator – Denisa Hebblethwaite ( Management & Marketing students) or Carol McKnight ( Accountancy and Finance students) on ibl@unitec.ac.nz. Is there an exemption? If students are employed full-time in their discipline area and cannot negotiate a 220 hour IBL placement with their employer they may apply for an exemption to a 15 credit IBL course (110 hours). Students need to complete the exemption form on Moodle and have it signed off by Andrew Slessor. © Unitec New Zealand IBL Programme 2012 Page 1 of 8 Semester Course Work Attend all FIVE “Active” IBL Workshops which provide guidance and advice on how to maximise your learning experience and submit a successful portfolio. Refer to the BBus Timetable for dates, times and room number. Attend the “Portfolio” Workshop which is held towards the end of your IBL Semester to receive feedback on your draft portfolio. All the workshops are held during the day and then repeated in the evening to enable both full time and parttime students to attend. IBL academic supervisor During your IBL semester, you will be allocated an academic supervisor. You will need to arrange a meeting between your Host Supervisor and your Unitec Academic Supervisor at your workplace. The meeting will cover the Collaborative Assessment process and a Personal Learning agreement will be signed.
