 Weekly scheduling and overseeing of the lab’s Psychology Research Pool studies.
 Tracking and adjusting hour/credit allotment for all research studies in the lab.
 Tracking of IRB due dates and renewal dates, and completing IRB forms for
resubmission.
 Responding to participant emails for research study questions.
 Mentoring undergraduate lab members by assisting with research posters, writing goals,
and time management skills.

when he was unable to attend class.

ASIST program
 Completed 40-hour Training for Trainers training course in Los Angeles, CA
 Organize sessions by recruitment of participants, preparing materials, and co-trainer
collaboration.

Host and complete training for community participants in a 2-day format on suicide
prevention and intervention techniques and community collaborations to support suicidal
individuals.
COMMUNITY WORK EXPERIENCE:___________________________________________
Community Outreach Coordinator
November 2012- June 2014
Americorps VISTA with Contact Helpline
 Enhanced the development of volunteer programming by establishment of online training
programs, revamped the Comprehensive Crisis Training program, and implemented
volunteer recognition.
 Helped to develop Community Public Relations through membership attainment with the
Columbus Young Professionals, LINK and Columbus Chamber of Commerce, and
Starkville’s Greater Starkville Development Partnership. Also worked to establish positive
working alliances with the Columbus Air Force Base, Baptist Memorial Hospital,
American Legion and the Ladies Auxiliary, and many other community businesses.
 Grant writing for small community-based grants of $500-$5,000 and program
development.
 Worked on the Back2School Bash and created a Health Fair portion for community
vendors to provide information on public health to students and parents.
SAMHSA Grant Project Director

Crisis Center Follow-up Grant with Contact Helpline
 Developed programming and wrote grants
 Developed and maintained community relationships with Hospital Administration,
Community mental health agencies, and other influencing agencies for the grant.
 Maintained correspondence with Federal Project Officers and Columbia University
Research Team, responded to feedback, and attended weekly and monthly meeting with
appropriate personnel.
 Oversaw the development of grant program protocol with the agency staff and volunteers,
development of grant budget and tracking of purchasing costs, and the tracking and
reporting of data collection.
 Presented year one results to federal staff and cohort members at conference in
Washington D.C.
