Montreal
Canadian Shield Region
 Some first nations here are Woodland Cree, Anishnabe and
Innu.
 Some natural resources in this region are minerals, water,
and lumber
 Some jobs in this region are mining, forestry and
hydroelectric.
 Some major cities are Gatineau, Thunder Bay, Ottawa, and
Sudbury.
Interior Plains Region
 The first nations that live here are Saulteaux, Cree, Deme
and Blackfoot.
 Some natural resources in this region are oil, coal, and
natural gas.
 Some jobs here oil workers, education, forestry and
medicine.
 Some major cities are 75 000 people or more are;
Regina, Saskatoon, Calgary, Edmonton, and Winnipeg.

are the First Nations of the Haida and the First Nations of
Secwepemc people.

fish, water, forests, minerals, and coal.

hydroelectricity, mining, forestry, fishing, trucking, police
force, ranching, farming, and tourism.

Cordillera Region are; Vancouver, Greater Victoria, and
Coquittlam.
Arctic Region
 The First Nations who lived in the Arctic Region are Inuit.
 Some natural resources found here are; copper, gold, zinc, oil, and
diamonds.
 Some jobs people have in the Arctic Region are; mining,
government, and service industries.
 The territorial capital found in the Arctic Region is Iqaluit.
