Target Audience
This program has been designed for departmental/institutional faculty, fellows, residents, medical students, nurses and
community physicians in the medical specialties of HIV, infectious disease, internal medicine, family practice,
dermatology, osteo-specialists, nephrology, hematology/oncology, psychiatry, public health , Ob/Gyn.
Educational Objectives
After completing this activity, participants should be able to:
 Upon completion of the program, participants should be able to apply in clinical practice approaches for
preventing HIV infection and getting newly diagnosed patients into care.

Upon completion of the program, participants should be able to better individualize ARV therapy for the
treatment –naïve and treatment experienced patients.

Upon completion of the program, participants should be able to better manage the aging patient with HIV
infection, including issues associated with cardiovascular and bone disease.

The Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania is accredited by the Accreditation Council for
Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

It is policy at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania for individuals who are in a position to
