Target Audience
This program has been designed for departmental/institutional faculty, fellows, residents, medical students, allied health
professionals and access coordinators in the medical specialties of nephrology, surgery, interventional radiology.
Educational Objectives
After completing this activity, participants should be able to:
 Review newly published and emerging literature concerning the utility of stent-grafts in the hemodialysis
access population

Describe the settings in which surgical management of aneurysm is preferable to outflow angioplasty

Identify patients who may benefit from catheters as opposed to fistulas or grafts

List 2 reasons why the use of stent-grafts for aneurysm is detrimental

It is policy at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania for individuals who are in a position to
control the content of an educational activity to disclose to the learners all relevant financial relationships that they have

improving medical practice, are based on valid content, and are independent of control from commercial interests and

relative to the topic of their presentation. In addition, all faculty were instructed to provide balanced, scientifically
rigorous and evidence-based presentations.
