Ezmerelda
Ezmerelda carries the blood of the Dragonkin, an ancient race of sorcerers that millennia ago communed with dragons and the magic that spawned them. Dragonkin have all but vanished, but it is said the rare child is born with their blood hot in their veins. Such children wield enormous potential power. Druids covet their return for it is a link with the primal forces of nature and magic. Wizards distrust them, living so close to the source of arcane energies, for they wield magical power unchecked by reason or control. Some of the greatest sorcerers in history have been rumored to be Dragonkin.
Upon maturity a Dragonkin will blossom into sorcery. They may find lizards befriending them, sensing their draconian aura. Each Dragonkin bears traits of one or more of the dragon races. Those of red dragon influence, for example, may find themselves immune to fire damage in youth, and later be able to produce flames themselves. On rare occasion, a Dragonkin offspring may so closely share traits with their ancestors that they may in fact transform into dragons themselves.
