Full time Leadership Coach – New Orleans
Position Specification
THE ORGANIZATION:
Leading Educators develops teacher-leaders in order to increase faculty
effectiveness, retain talented educators, and ultimately raise student
achievement in high-need schools. We aim to ensure that public education
successfully trains its middle leaders, to extend the reach of our best teachers
and bolster the pipeline of future principals.
Our flagship program is a two-year Fellowship where teacher-leaders engage in
frequent leadership development sessions and strengthen their ability to coach
and provide feedback to other teachers. Results from the last academic year
show that teams led by New Orleans Fellows demonstrated 12 times more
growth on state tests than their counterparts. Similarly, teams led by Kansas
City Fellows demonstrated 5 times more growth on state tests than their
counterparts.
Leading Educators also offers customized consulting to districts, charter
management organizations (CMOs), and non-profit organizations through our
Strategic Support Initiatives (SSI). This contract-based work may include delivery
of training modules; consulting on teacher-leader recruitment, selection, and
retention; or developing the capacity of external trainers.
Leading Educators has trained over 160 teacher-leaders in programs in New
