Tiger Tales Radley Elementary School Principal’s Perspective Radley Staff Thanks You! 26 pounds is a big turkey that fills every inch of an oven. It’s also the biggest my mom remembers preparing for our family in Thanksgivings past. When you have 14 siblings however…..you get the point. We would like to express our gratitude to all the parents who volunteered to bring dinner to our teachers during Parent Teacher Conference night. A big thanks also to all the PTO members who organized and cleaned up!!. Your generosity is appreciated! Radley’s starting to feel a bit like that stuffed oven. 540 students today, 515 exactly one year ago with a maximum capacity of 545. The District’s Long Term Infrastructure Committee has been working towards a remedy over the course of the last three months. Short term solution could be a modular unit. Long term solutions being discussed include additions added to current buildings and/or the construction of a fourth school. Grade configuration changes at current and future buildings are also being examined. Watch for more information to come forth from the Superintendent’s office. We would also like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who generously donated gifts for the PTO Gift Giving Tree. Over 119 gifts were donated to 44 families in our community. The staff and PTO members who work on this program do such an awesome job for this cause. Thank you for making this holiday a little brighter for our kids. Have some input? Email/call me or come to the next committee meeting – January 25th, 5:30 in EVMS library. Meanwhile, pass the mashed potatoes please.
