This website lists the most recent Earthquakes measured around the world. Use the list to answer the following
questions: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/map/ (Also located on Mrs. Love’s Website under “class
links” then click “Recent Earthquakes.”)
1. Where are most of today’s earthquakes happening?
2. Where were most of yesterday’s earthquakes happening?
3. Where was the most recent earthquake that measured ABOVE 6.0?
4. Why do you think earthquakes occur more than once at the same location?
5. What is the latitude and longitude of the most recent earthquake?
6. What is the depth of the first earthquake yesterday?
7. On the data sheet, record the latitude and longitude for the last 10 earthquakes that measured over 4.5 (these
will be BOLD on the website.
