Decision making responsibility Policy decisions made within legal guidelines, with the support of HR Business Partner (Policy, Projects and OD), signed off by Head of Business Partnering. Main accountabilities: 1. Review existing HR policies and procedures, liaising with HR colleagues as appropriate, to ensure they are fit for purpose, up to date and in line with employment legislation and RNIB ‘tone of voice’. 2. Conduct research and analysis of employment issues and legislative changes, and make recommendations in order to amend policy and procedures. 3. Organise and contribute to policy review meetings with wider HR team, attending other meetings as appropriate as a representative of HR. 4. Draft and update contractual documentation, and create new policies and procedures where there are gaps and/or new work requires it, seeking sign off from the Head of Business Partnering. 5. Assist with the consultation process on policy changes working with managers, unions and staff representatives, as appropriate. 6. Organise and implement the roll out of new policies and procedures, including communication plan and training and development updates /delivery, and review success of implementation. 7. Maintain and update policy and procedure information on RNIB websites and RNIB staff handbook. 8. Carry out policy development work for associate charities within the RNIB Group where required. 9.
