I would like to partner with any course that has themes similar to mine. It might be interesting to connect with an English 110 or ENG 305, 308, where technical topics in my course could be used for writing topics. This course has no specific theme connected to it. Students continue their language acquisition and work towards increased proficiency in reading, writing and speaking as they practice the language in more academic settings. I am open to learning about anything (in regards to pairing up with other colleagues), but my most recent scholarly endeavors have dealt with theoretical constructions of urban space as they relate to Madrid, and the attempt to create agency or identity in the face of a society obsessed with virtual reality (or as Castells states, "real virtuality"). Having said this, I am open to connecting with anybody. If we want to target freshmen, we typically get at least one section of this class completely filled by first-year students during summer orientation. So, we could hide the section until freshmen begin to register in June – if a pairing or bundling works out. David Soll Rose Theisen Watershed Inst.
