College degree in related field desired; three seasons of Camp Administration. Appropriate First Aid and CPR. Responsible for total operations of co-ed children's camp for up to 225 campers/week. Recruit, interview, hire, train and supervise staff of 70-75. Experience in administration and supervision in outdoor programming, education or recreation. Assistant Camp Director Minimum age 21. Three seasons of camp experience. Appropriate First Aid and CPR. Current driver’s license. Assist Director with the operation of a co-ed children’s camp. Assist with training and supervising staff. Experience in outdoor program, education and/or recreation. Provide transportation to hospital for non-emergency situations. Program Director Resident Minimum age 18. College degree desired. Appropriate First Aid and CPR. Responsible for afternoon recreational activities and evening programs. Ability to supervise young adults in an outdoor setting. Program Director-Day Minimum age 18. College Degree Desired. Appropriate First Aid and CPR. Responsible for designing and leading Day Camp Program for 5-8 year olds. Ability to supervise children. Ability to supervise assigned staff. Preferred age 21 or older. College degree desired. Appropriate First Aid and CPR. Plan & implement a program using traditional camp activities to stimulate discussion around issues facing girls entering 7th & 8th grades. Program offered two weeks. Opportunity to work as a Senior Counselor the remainder of the season. Pool Director Minimum age 21. WSI, Lifeguarding, Lifeguard Management. Appropriate First Aid and CPR; three seasons of waterfront experience. Lead waterfront program (pool), supervise and guide assigned staff and teach ARC swimming lessons. Maintain water safety procedures, practices and equipment. Ability to test water for proper chemical levels. Lifeguard Minimum age 16. Life guarding, appropriate First Aid and CPR desired. Assist in teaching ARC swimming lessons; Lifeguard for special classes and activities. Opportunity to work concurrently as a counselor. Adventure Program/Ropes Course Specialist Minimum age 18. Appropriate First Aid and CPR. Teach children adventure programs utilizing ropes courses. Lead and guide assigned counselors. Experience in facilitating a challenge/ropes course. Ability to lead and guide assigned counselors. Experience in and knowledge of assigned class concept. Responsibilities to includes serving as a Senior Counselor in the afternoons and evenings. Senior Counselor Minimum age 18. Appropriate First Aid and CPR desirable. Special requirements may be required to teach specific classes. Experience in working with children, ability to teach a specific program and ability to supervise children in an outdoor setting. Responsible for a cabin of campers and for leading a class. Junior Counselor Minimum age 17. Appropriate First Aid and CPR desirable. Experience in working with children, ability to assist with classes under the supervision of a senior counselor or specialist. Assist with cabin supervision. Health Supervisor Minimum age 21. Appropriate First Aid and CPR. RN. Supervise and enforce relevant NYS Department of Health standards. Work with Administrator, Director, Caretaker, and staff to provide safe physical health conditions for all. Food Service Director Minimum age 21. Experience in cooking for 250+. Ability to manage total kitchen operations, supervises kitchen staff, and prepares three meals/day. Maintain standards established by NYS Health Department of Health. Assistant Food Service Director Minimum age 21. Experience in cooking for 250+. Assist with preparation of all meals and snacks. Ability to handle kitchen operations in the absence of Food Service Director. Kitchen Assistant/Dishwasher Minimum age 16. Assist in all aspects of kitchen operations including food preparation and clean up. Maintenance work to include cleaning & painting. Responsible for assisting with cabin supervision. Counselor In Training Specialist Minimum age 18. Appropriate First Aid and CPR. Experience working in a camp setting. Train and supervise older campers interested in developing leadership skills & working at a camp in the future. Summer camp positions run from June 26-August12, 2016. Adventure Program positions available from mid-April through mid-October. First Aid and CPR Training is available throughout the area.
