Anotace přednášky:
A theoretical presentation of the Communicative Perspective (or "Functional
Sentence Perspective", Jan Firbas) is followed by the presentation of a full Latin
text that is discussed in detail for the order of the sentence constituents. Also
when the students are not yet familiar with the theory, the teacher should take
care to make a clear distinction between syntactic and communicative concepts
and terminology. Occasional attention is given to the interaction with stylistic
figures and potential translation problems.
