If your answer is YES you need to attend Physical Activity Training for Classroom Teachers and Administrators sponsored by the West Virginia Department of Education. What is Physical Activity Training for Classroom Teachers and Administrators ? Physical Activity for Classroom teachers and administrators is a collaborative effort between the WVDE and other organizations committed to improving the culture of physical activity in our schools. It provides classroom teachers and administrators beneficial resources to incorporate more physical activity in the school day, training on comprehensive school physical activity programming and innovative ways to incorporate physical activity into the academic setting. Studies consistently show that students who get more physical activity perform better academically and have fewer behavioral issues in school. Who should attend this training: West Virginia classroom teachers and administrators When and Where will it be held? Saturday March 7 th 2015 Huntington High School Huntington, WV Saturday March 14th 2015 WVU CPASS Building Morgantown, WV What time does the training start? Registration begins at 8:30 Training: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. How much will it cost? The training is free and participants will also receive three Graduate Credits from Concord University or $100.00 stipend if credits are not desired. Sign up now space is limited. Note: This is one day training. Participants can choose either date. Lunch will be provided and relaxed dress is recommended due to active participation in sessions.
