Ann Widdicombe will be visiting the Fusilier Museum, Bury and taking part in a coffee morning on
Saturday 2 nd November 2013. The former MP, columnist and author will be talking about her life as well as signing copies of her latest book.
The event starts at 11am and all monies raised from the event will go towards museum funds.
Tickets are priced at £6.50 and are available from the Tourist Information Centre or on the day.
Ticket price includes coffee, tea and homemade cake by Delicious at The Fusilier Museum.
Helen Smith, General Manager at the Fusilier Museum, said: “It’s a great privilege to welcome Ann to the museum and we thank her for taking time out from her busy schedule to help us raise money for the museum. This is a great opportunity to meet Ann and learn about her life as well as pick up a copy of her latest book.”
The Fusilier Museum in Bury, Lancashire, is home to the collections of XX The Lancashire Fusiliers and the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers. Documenting over 300 years of history and heritage through permanent and temporary exhibitions, the Museum tells the rich and fascinating stories of the people who have served and continue to service in the Regiments.
The museum recently secured £1.4m funding for its ‘Onwards and Upwards’ project which will include the development of new learning facilities and events spaces as well as providing improved collections storage and exhibitions.
