Organizer
Located in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, China, Fujian TCDC Institute of Subtropical Flowers (FISF)
is an scientific research and development institute engaged in flower resource development,
famous and special flower introduction and extension, planning and designing of landscape and
greening, conducting international training on flower technology and providing flower technology
service. FISF specializes in introduction of special subtropical flower species, research and
development, landscaping and greening, urban planning and landscape designing. It has
established production and demonstration bases in Xiamen and Zhangzhou cities and participated
in the planning, designing and building of landscape and greening project for Fuzhou’s applying
for National Garden City. It boasts strong technique and rich experience of international training.
Since 2002, greatly supported by the Ministry of Commerce, FISF had held 12 training courses on
flower technology and 2 seminars on management of urban landscaping and greening. There are
395 trainees including technicians and supervisors from 76 countries, who had attended the
courses and the seminars. FISF gained high reputation from the trainees.
Seminar
Content
The seminar covers outline of Chinese flower industry, industrialization of flower, marketing of
flower, management of flower production and case studies of flower production and flower
industry. Besides the theoretic learning, the seminar organizes investigation and exchange in the
front line of flower industry. The seminar integrates theory and practice to improve the learning.
